The North Coast Community Housing Company

The North Coast Community Housing Company (NCCH) is a not-for-profit company which is there to make sure housing support is fair and affordable. They are creating a fairer approach to Housing Benefit to bring stability to the market and improve incentives to work. The North Coast Community Housing Company (NCCH) is a new single payment for working age claimants looking for community housing in Australia for people who are looking for work or on a low income. It will replace a number of other benefits; including Housing Benefit. They include an appropriate amount to help meet the costs of household rent or mortgage interest.
NCCH currently manages in excess of 800 properties across the far North Coast of NSW. It is a leading provider of community housing NSW. These properties are located in the following local government areas:
  • Tweed Shire
  • Byron Shire
  • Kyogle Shire
  • Lismore City
  • Ballina Shire   
  • Richmond Valley Shire
  • Clarence Valley Shire
NCCHC helps in building a stronger community by providing housing solutions for people in need. It works with other departments, agencies and other organizations to address homelessness in NSW. It manages NSW’s public housing portfolio. It funds and regulates the provision of community housing and crisis accommodation. It plays a key role in developing policy and supporting relationships to increase access to the supply of affordable housing across NSW. It provides a range of products and services to assist people into the private rental market and home ownership and provides policy advice to government and manages the Housing Act 2001 and associated legislation.
